LEEDOM RUNS LINES
Friday night, a crew of 8 spent 3 hours running lines off of Engine 70. The crew went to Leedom School for the first half of the drill to go through several evolutions running the bumper line for speed and efficiency. The crew took a quick break to stop at Home Depot to get some supplies, then headed back to the station to do some modifications to the well that holds our bumper line. The well was originally designed to hold just a 100' miscellanious line, but after we decided to add another 50' section to use for the 1 story flat roof dwellings in our first due, we have been trying several ways of packing the line to allow for a quick and efficient stretch. After the modifications were done, the crew ran the line several more times, and we are happy to report that it is finally stretching the way it should. The drill finished up a little after 2100.

On Saturday night, the crew of four staffing the station once again ran lines off the Engine for about 2 hours. The crew ran the 400' line several times, as well as the bumper line once again. With all of the training going on this week, the crew spent atleast 2 hours on each of our 1 3/4" preconnected lines: the 150' bumper line, the 2 200' crosslays, and the 400' line. We will continue to train often on all of our primary functions as a fire department to make sure that when the time comes, and that isn't very often in our area, we can do the job effeciently and safely, and provide the best protection to our community, and the other communities we serve.

GREEN RIDGE AND THE WCFD TRAIN ON LIVE FIRE SCENARIOS
Tonight for drill the Truck and Rescue 63 headed to West Chester Fire Department's Burn Tower for live fire training.  The Truck & Rescue crews worked with members of the First West Chester Fire Company Sta. 51 and the Manoa Fire Company Sta. 56 for several hours on various different scenarios.  Good Fellowship Ambulance Sta. 55 provided fire ground rehab for all members working on the training sessions.  We would like to thank the Officers and Members of First West Chester for the great night of training and hope to train again soon.

GREEN RIDGE INVADES CITIZENS BANK PARK
Tonight, the members and their families were able to take a well deserved break from the weekly training night and spend time together watching the Phillies take on the Cincinati Reds at CBP. The evening was organized by Capt. B. Harris Jr. and was in the works for several months. After a short "tailgate" in the parking lot of Sta. 63 while everyone anxiously awaited the arrival of Sgt. Pippin who was late, the group boarded a tour bus rented by the fire co. and driven by Life Member Gary Junkerman. Another short tailgate ensued at the Park where everyone enjoyed hoagies and soft pretzels. The entertainment on the field was awesome as well as the Phillies had a walk-off win thanks to a 2 out base hit from All-Star Shane Victorino in the 9th inning. Thanks to Chief Lombardo from Garden City and his guys for joining us but most of all to Capt. Harris for organizing this great trip. We can't wait til next year!!!!!

Thanks also go out to Ogden (E55-1) and Newtown Square (L-41) for covering the station tonight.
